Welcome to Brix&Co! We are thrilled to present an exciting opportunity for talented MRU Business students to contribute to our innovative project, Scaling for Success.


Brix&Co is a luxury furniture design company specializing in custom tables crafted from sustainable, high-quality materials. Operating within the furniture manufacturing and interior design sectors, Brix&Co creates bespoke pieces that attract discerning residential and commercial clients who value craftsmanship and design. The brand is committed to expanding its market reach within the high-end, designer-focused retail and hospitality spaces.


Main Goal:

This project aims to develop a comprehensive business plan for Brix&Co to support its 2025 sales growth objectives and ultimately position the company for acquisition by a luxury furniture wholesale provider. While Brix&Co already has a strategic marketing plan underway, this project would establish the necessary business framework and roadmap to ensure sustainable sales growth and brand scalability.


Brix&Co is poised to grow within the luxury furniture market but requires a robust business plan to guide its expansion into key partnerships with design-centered retailers and hospitality-focused firms. This project would outline steps for achieving Brix&Co’s sales targets and strategically positioning the brand as a prime acquisition opportunity within the luxury wholesale furniture market.

Deliverables

Project Scope and Expectations:

During this project, students will deliver a comprehensive business plan tailored to Brix&Co. which will complements our existing marketing strategy to drive sales of 50 tables in 2025. It will create a scalable framework for Brix&Co’s growth in both the designer retail and hospitality markets and identify acquisition strategies, targeting potential wholesale partners for an eventual sale. It will also establish benchmarks and KPIs for tracking Brix&Co’s expansion and brand position within the luxury furniture industry.


Students will act as consultants and deliver the following business plan outline:

  2. Company Description
  3. Industry, Target Customer, and Competitive Analysis
  4. Product/Service Plan
  5. Continued Marketing Plan
  6. Operation and Development Plan
  7. Management Team
  8. Critical Risk
  9. Offering
  10. Exit Strategy
  11. Financial Plan


Project Details:

Business Planning and Development – Design a scalable business model with a clear exit strategy.

Financial Analysis – Robust budget planning, forecasting, and valuation for acquisition preparation.

Market Research – Assess opportunities and trends in luxury wholesale and identify potential buyers.


Final Deliverables:

An ideal outcome would be a clear 10-15 page, actionable business plan that aligns with Brix&Co’s sales and exit strategy. This plan should provide a pathway for achieving near-term sales goals while positioning Brix&Co for acquisition by a luxury furniture wholesaler. Success will be measured by our ability to reach sales targets, establish new partnerships, and enhance our brand’s appeal as a premium, scalable entity in the high-end furniture market.
