Welcome to Mas Studios! We are thrilled to present an exciting opportunity for talented MRU Business students to contribute to our innovative project, 'Creative Growth Strategy: A Grant Acquisition Plan for Expanding Calgary's Art Scene.'


Main Goal:

The primary objective of this project is to produce a strategy to secure grants that will enable Mas Studios to hire more creative talent within Calgary and expand our clientele base. This strategic plan will empower our company to strengthen its position as a key player in Calgary's creative scene.

During this project, students will deliver a comprehensive business plan tailored to Mas Studios. Students will act as consultants and deliver the following business plan outline:

  5. Marketing Plan (Can include Social Media Strategy, Campaign Strategy and Communication Strategy)

  7. Management Team
  8. Critical Risk
  9. Offering
  10. Exit Strategy
  11. Financial Plan

Project Details:

- Task 1: Comprehensive Grant Research - Identify and analyze local, provincial, and national grants applicable to creative businesses. Evaluate grant eligibility criteria, submission timelines, and strategic fit for Mas Studios.


- Task 2: Grant Application Strategy Development - Create an outline for an impactful and persuasive grant application. Highlight Mas Studios' achievements and plans for expansion to showcase grant worthiness.


- Task 3: Marketing Plan and Talent Onboarding Strategy - Develop a plan for using grant funding to hire and onboard new talent. Create strategies to attract new clients through expanded services enabled by the new team members.


Final Deliverables:

  • A comprehensive 10-15 page business plan as per the team of consultants' course curriculum.

We have also worked with musicians Tegan and Sara, and rented their studio to giants like Zara and WestJet.
